Set against the backdrop of the Three Kingdoms era, this game is a side-scrolling 2.5D Roguelike combat title. In addition to its retro art style, it features innovative mechanics such as “Exploration,” “Attack,” and “Retreat,” as well as procedurally generated levels. The game aims to recreate the grueling yet epic battles unique to the age of cold weapons. We invite you to join us and take on this challenge! The game features a level-based map system. After selecting a character, players can begin tackling the levels (tower climbing). There are a total of 15 levels(The beta version currently features 7 levels), and the goal is to complete each level’s objective—such as defeating the boss or making a successful retreat—to ultimately reach the top of the tower. The map, enemies, and rewards are randomly generated at the start of each playthrough, making every run full of uncertainty!! Level types are diverse, featuring a variety of gameplay modes such as leveling up, pure combat, reward runs, elite battles, and boss hunts with retreats. Depending on their class, characters are equipped with six major build progression systems, with each class offering two build paths to choose from: (1) Divine Warrior: Berserker Build vs. Invincible Build: Frenzy Style: Increases the character’s critical hit rate and critical damage probability. Enemies suffer longer stun durations and are knocked back farther. It also features frame-freeze and screen-shaking effects, aiming to deliver a more visually striking and realistic sense of impact. Invincibility Style: Once in Invincibility Mode, you only lose health and can ignore hit states and various types of hit effects—such as knockback, knock-up, and being airborne. When your health drops below 20%, a limited-time invincibility mode for low health is activated, putting you into a true invincible, damage-free state. (2) Mage: Area-of-Effect Build vs. Cooldown Build: Area-of-Effect Build: The damage range of skills is increased; for each additional enemy within the range, damage is increased by a certain percentage. Additionally, there is an extra damage bonus for area-of-effect (AOE) skills. Cooldown Reduction: The cooldown time for skill casts is reduced, as is the mana cost. Additionally, damage dealt increases by a certain percentage with each subsequent skill cast. (2) Archer: Penetration Build vs. Rapid-Fire Build: Penetration Build: The number of enemies an arrow can penetrate increases; damage rises by a certain percentage for each additional enemy penetrated. Additionally, the arrow’s duration is extended, allowing it to hit enemies at greater distances. Rapid-Fire Build: The number of arrows fired per shot increases, the interval between consecutive shots decreases, and firing speed increases. Highlights of the Innovative Gameplay in “Three Kingdoms: Search, Fight, Retreat”: (1) Search Phase: Players must obtain signal flares, which drop randomly upon defeating elite monsters. The variety and randomness of dropped items have increased, enhancing the roguelike randomness mechanics; (2) After obtaining a signal flare, players can choose to continue forward to fight the boss for more high-tier items and upgrades, or use the signal flare immediately to enter the third phase—retreat; (3) Battle Phase: Once you enter the boss area, you can no longer use the signal flare. You must give it your all to defeat the boss and various types of enemies. By defeating the boss and collecting the dropped treasures, you can proceed to the third phase—retreat. If you are defeated during this process, the challenge fails, and you will lose all previously collected items; (4) Retreat Phase: This is the most tense and thrilling phase. Players must retreat to the evacuation point at the starting location before the retreat countdown ends. Along the way, they will encounter enemy ambushes as well as traps such as spike pits and rolling boulders. After successfully reaching the evacuation point, players must hold the position for 10 seconds before the countdown ends to truly complete the challenge. If you are killed by enemies during this time, or fail to hold the retreat point until the countdown ends, the challenge will fail, and you will lose everything!! Now you can explore the map, engage in combat, and maneuver freely—actively seeking opportunities in these turbulent regions. This marks the first-ever combination of side-scrolling combat, roguelike elements, and a search-and-retreat mechanic—we’re excited to see what unique sparks it will ignite! Finally, the game features full localization and supports switching between Chinese, English, and Japanese.
