Shoot to the beat. Capture the stage. Become a legend. What is SSD? Synthwave Show/Dawn is a third-person hero shooter where rhythm isn't optional—it's your gateway to action. In a neon-drenched cyberpunk megacity, 8 stars face off in 4v4 matches to dominate the arena known as Bassline by capturing the enemy base. But here, every attack must be synchronized with the beat: playing in rhythm charges your ultimate faster and maximizes your damage. Miss the beat, and you miss your chance. Choose your star, master their musical style, and show who truly rules the stage. Available Formats These two game modes can be played in different formats: 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4. ⚔️ GAME MODE Two teams of 4 stars face off in the arena. The objective: capture the enemy base while carrying the mic. But Synthwave Show/Dawn isn't a classic shooter. Every offensive action must be synchronized with the rhythm of the music. Stay on beat to charge your ultimate faster; ignore the rhythm, and you lose this decisive advantage. 🎮 CONTROLS • Movement: WASD + Sprint • Jump: Space • Side Dash: Space + A or D • Attack: Left Click (sync with the beat!) • Ability: Right Click (cooldown) • Ultimate: F (recharges while staying on beat) • Passive: Automatically activates depending on each star's conditions 🌍 UNIVERSE Welcome to Metronum: a world-city born from a miracle, fractured by its silence, and now consumed by rivalry. The Age of Wonder · −1000 to 0 B.T.S. More than a millennium ago, humanity discovered the Grand Accord: a colossal crystal radiating a harmonic sound with extraordinary properties. Its vibration amplified the abilities of every individual, erasing the boundaries between peoples. Drawn together by this unifying force, all nations merged into one: the ecumenopolis of Metronum. The Thirty Silences · 0 to 30 A.T.S. Two millennia later, the Grand Accord shattered. During its long days of agony, its song vanished, taking with it all the gifts it had granted. Society plunged into a heavy silence, an era of disorientation and blind reconstruction. To fill the void, scientists from around the world built Harmonodes, a cutting-edge technological district that propelled Metronum into a cyberpunk future. The Awakening · 30 A.T.S. — Present Day Thirty years after the fall, four individuals each discovered a fragment of the Grand Accord. These shards granted them unique powers tied to their own musical style. Instantly propelled to superstar status, they now face off on the colossal stage of Nexus Stadium: a merciless spectacle where every performance is a battle to prove which musical style deserves to rule over the legacy of the Grand Accord. 🔧 ALPHA VERSION: CONTEXT Synthwave Show/Dawn is a student project developed as part of our training program. This alpha version is our first publicly playable release. If you're a publisher, studio, or simply passionate about the project, feel free to contact us. ⚔️ HOW TO PLAY - Attacks can only be performed on beat. - The goal is to capture the enemy base while carrying the mic. - Pillars are scattered across the map: - 🟩 Green → heals the player. - 🟨 Yellow → charges the ultimate ability. - 🟦 Blue → temporarily increases movement speed. 🎤 Game Mode: Mic Drop To win the game mode, you must pick up the mic at the center of the map. You then need to capture the enemy base. Every 36%, the mic breaks and respawns at one of three locations around the map. Teamwork is essential in this game mode: communicate with your teammates to secure victory! Each character has: - A Passive (permanent effect). - A Basic Attack (left click, no cooldown). - A Special Ability (right click, with cooldown). - An Ultimate Ability (F key, charged by dealing damage). 🎭 THE CHARACTERS Sunset – The Synthwave / Healer The heart of the group. Speeds up her allies, slows down her enemies, and heals by shooting. • Attack — Laser Blasters: Dual-purpose lasers that damage enemies and heal allies. Applies Radiant Sun. • Ability — Solar Eruption: Detonates all marks to massively heal allies or damage enemies. • Ultimate — Cyber-World: Becomes intangible in an alternate world, replacing her attack with a healing pulse. • Passive — Overdrive: Leaves behind a purple trail that speeds up allies and slows down enemies. Karkass – The Industrial Metal / DPS A war machine fueled by fury. The more punishment he takes, the more dangerous he becomes. • Attack — Slash & Smash: Swings his axe and gains attack speed with every hit. • Ability — Condemnation: Throws a chain to pull himself toward his target and root them in place. • Ultimate — Purgatory: Explosion + chain barrier. Immediately enters a frenzy. • Passive — Blood Frenzy: A rage meter that boosts his damage and heals him when he lands attacks. Cadentia – The Orchestral / Tank A majestic guardian who protects her allies while punishing her enemies. • Attack — Rays of Light: Summons guided beams of light that explode in an area. • Ability — Veil of Light: Knocks enemies back and creates a projectile-blocking wall. • Ultimate — Consecration: Rises into the air, grants shields to allies, then dives down to paralyze enemies. • Passive — Mark of Absolution: Marks enemies, causing her rays to multiply and healing her allies when marked enemies die. Miss Katty – The Electro-Swing / Assassin Unpredictable and airborne, she bounces across the battlefield just like her own bullets. • Attack — Swing: Fires a guided bullet from her umbrella that can be redirected and always returns to her. • Ability — Double Step: A forward dash that can duplicate a bullet with the right timing. • Ultimate — Magic Trick: Throws a hat, teleports to it, and releases 10 bouncing bullets. • Passive — Aerial Swing: Bounces off hit players and gains an additional jump.
