Prototype

Carve a living from the land — together. Prototype is a low-poly medieval sandbox built for small groups who want a world that lasts. Shape the ground with shovel and pick, gather and craft from stone-age tools to steel, grow fields through the seasons, raise animals, and turn a patch of wilderness into a village defended by walls and shared work. Progression runs from survival and skilled labor to metal, farming, specialized gear, and coordinated combat — with server authority so the world stays consistent for everyone playing. Host from your PC or run a dedicated server. Up to 64 players can share one persistent map (3072 × 3072 m), claim territory, and keep building while friends are offline. The look and fiction are original; the depth comes from interconnected systems — quality on materials, wear on tools, heat in the forge, hunger and stamina on every hard day’s work. Key features - Terraforming & building — Lower, flatten, and prepare ground; place blueprints and raise timber, stone, and fortified structures piece by piece. - Crafting & workshops — Stations from drying racks and forges to looms and kitchens; recipes, queues, tool requirements, and material quality that carry through the chain. - Metal & industry — Prospecting, mining, smelting, and smithing with realistic heat and fuel; better tools speed the work and wear with use. - Farming & seasons — Beds, crops, and orchards tied to weather and the calendar; winter, spring, summer, and autumn change what you can grow and store. - Animals & husbandry — Hunt, tame, feed, and breed livestock; wool, food, and labor that reward steady care. - Regions & trade — Named regions with distinct resources and crafting rules; coins and market stalls for player exchange. - Co-op multiplayer — Listen server, dedicated server, reconnect, and shared world state designed for 1–64 players (stress-tested toward higher counts). - Combat & progression — Melee and ranged weapons, blocking and stamina, skills and equipment tiers from rough cloth to forged arms and armor. Built for persistence Your world is saved — terrain, buildings, inventory, skills, and time of year — so a co-op settlement is a long project, not a weekend lobby. Server settings let the host tune pace, danger, PvP, and calendars without breaking the simulation. Early Access — core survival, crafting, building, and co-op are playable; some systems and content are still being completed and balanced. Prototype is in active development. Feature set and balance evolve with playtesting; the description reflects the intended 1.0 scope.
