Terrifying Infected Face 11 distinct types of infected, each with different behaviours, strengths, and weaknesses. Fight fast-moving Sprinters, four-legged Ferals, toxic mutations, heavily transformed Brutes, and rare creatures such as the Night Roarer—a powerful nocturnal infected that hunts after dark. Some infected have survived long enough to undergo extreme mutations, becoming far more dangerous than the people or animals they once were. Human Factions and Hostile Survivors The infected are not the only threat. - Encounter military forces, bandits, scavengers, and other survivors with their own rules, territories, and motives. Some may be willing to cooperate. Others will threaten your home, steal what you need, or test how far you are willing to go to protect your people. Immersive Survival Systems First- and Third-Person Perspectives Switch between first- and third-person views whenever you choose. Use first person for immersion and detailed exploration, or third person for greater awareness during movement, combat, and cooperative play. Fluid and Grounded Movement More than 550 animations help make your survivor feel responsive, physical, and connected to the world. Move through windows, crouch beneath obstacles, climb across the environment, interact with containers, and navigate abandoned locations with grounded character movement. Dynamic Weather, Seasons, and Time Snow, rain, fog, storms, and changing light conditions affect visibility, exploration, and combat. Track footprints through snow and mud, use poor weather to move unseen, and prepare for conditions that can make even familiar routes dangerous. The world also reacts to time of day. Certain missions, conversations, events, and infected may only appear under specific conditions. Interactive Scavenging Loot exists physically within the world. Shelves become empty when supplies have been taken, items remain visibly placed where they can be found, and containers use animated interactions when opened. Search carefully. What looks like an empty room may still contain the supplies that keep someone alive. Crafting and Base Building Gather resources, hunt, fish, farm, craft equipment, and construct defenses. Build and maintain safe locations using generators, solar panels, storage, fortifications, and other survival systems. Power production reacts dynamically to time of day, weather, and cloud cover. Farming and Food Management Grow crops to support yourself, your group, and the safezone. Protect the water supply, maintain the fields, manage harvested food, and prepare for changing weather. A failed crop can be just as dangerous as an infected attack. Weapons and Customization Find, maintain, and customize weapons using attachments such as: - Scopes - Suppressors - Flashlights - Extended magazines Choose equipment that fits your situation, but remember that every shot creates noise—and noise attracts attention. Vehicles and Exploration Travel with friends, transport supplies, and use vehicles to cross the world more efficiently. Keep them repaired and fueled, because losing your transportation far from home can turn a routine journey into a fight for survival.
