Neosis Echoes explores a future shaped by megacorporations, consciousness cloning, cybernetic humans and the price of immortality. On the hostile planet of Varos, cybernetically enhanced humans mine Echorium, a mysterious resource hidden beneath the surface, while the world is controlled by Monolith, a superintelligence that considers human emotion a system defect. You play as Evan Draxell, a synthetic clone of the founder of Draxell Corp, a powerful military-industrial megacorporation. After a 200-year journey through space, Evan awakens carrying fragmented memories of a life he never lived and the legacy of an empire he never built. As he explores Varos, fragments of the past begin to resurface, revealing a conflict that reaches far beyond his own existence. The world affects you. Your emotional state reshapes gameplay. Your actions reshape the world. Manage Stress, Focus and Mood to survive, stay effective in combat and exploration, and influence how the world responds to you. Fight hostile creatures and machines using firearms, abilities and advanced mobility. Adapt your approach to each encounter and use your environment, equipment and movement to stay alive. Neosis Echoes is currently in development, and the systems presented so far represent the foundations of a much larger experience. Our goal is to progressively expand Varos with new environments, creatures, machines, weapons, abilities, bosses, resources and survival systems. The emotional system will also continue to evolve, giving Stress, Focus and Mood deeper consequences for the environment, enemies, Echorium and the way the world reacts to Evan. A cyberpunk electronic music producer whose music blends cinematic science fiction, dark electronic sounds and futuristic atmospheres. The soundtrack is being developed alongside the world itself, helping define the identity of Varos, its environments, its conflicts and its emotional atmosphere.
