Story Background
The Spirit Abyss is a bizarre entity that lies between realms. Legend says it reaches the Immortal Realm above and the Yellow Springs below, divided into nine layers, each an independent miniature world. The Palace of Spirit Abyss is the most powerful sect within the Spirit Abyss.
The Supreme Codex of Myriad Arts and Thousand Demons seals the true names and souls of tens of thousands of fiends and demons, serving as the ten‑thousand‑year foundation of the Palace of Spirit Abyss.
The Turbid Immortal hid within the palace for a thousand years and secretly broke the seal. Storms raged and thunder cracked the sky. Souls trapped inside the codex scattered, fleeing and dissipating between heaven and earth. The Supreme Codex of Myriad Arts and Thousand Demons shattered into fragments and vanished without a trace. From then on, the Palace of Spirit Abyss fell into decline and became nothing more than legend.
Your playable character, Ling, obtains a demonic tome within a secret realm. This book grows stronger each time it absorbs the power of a soul‑bearer. Seeking greater strength, you set forth on a journey to collect souls and arrive at the fifth layer of the Spirit Abyss — the Realm of Five Elements.
