Wake up. Remember nothing. Survive yourself. Insanity: Altered is a dark psychological horror RPG set inside the decaying walls of a massive psychiatric complex. You awaken strapped to a hospital bed, with no memory of who you are, a handful of strange pills, and the disturbing feeling that something inside your mind is not entirely your own. To escape, you must descend through the ruined floors of the complex, recover fragments of your past, confront hostile patients, and build control over the madness surrounding you. But the deeper you go, the more fragile the line becomes between reality, hallucination, and the terrifying truth hidden within your own mind. A Descent into Madness The game takes place inside an old psychiatric facility filled with rusted medical equipment, abandoned wards, broken beds, barred windows, yellowed posters, and traces of failed experiments. Dim corridors flicker under dying lamps. Old carpets rot beneath your feet. Strange paintings seem to shift when you stare too long. The smell of medicine, disinfectant, blood, and decay fills the air. Somewhere in the darkness, voices whisper patient numbers, forgotten diagnoses, and names that should mean nothing to you -but somehow do. Every floor of the asylum is a separate layer of nightmare, with its own enemies, dangers, bosses, and secrets. As you move deeper, you will uncover the consequences of violent experiments, mass patient outbreaks. Recover Your Memories Your past is shattered. To understand who you are, you must collect fragments of memory scattered throughout the complex. Each discovery brings you closer to the truth - and to the other personalities hidden within you. Are they enemies? Allies? Or pieces of yourself trying to take control? As your memories return, the protagonist slowly realizes that the madness he feared in others may have always been part of him. Command the Broken Not everyone inside the Asylum is merely a threat. Some patients can be intimidated, controlled, recruited, and shaped into a team under your command. Build a powerful squad of unstable characters, each with their own role, abilities, progression path, and synergies. Upgrade your team, unlock new strategies, and prepare them for increasingly dangerous encounters across multiple game modes. Save the Altered Some patients have been transformed by psychomorphite - their bodies mutated, their minds buried deep beneath layers of pain, fear, and distortion. After defeating floor bosses, you may gain access to stabilization equipment or special counter-serums developed from forbidden research notes. These allow you to reverse the destructive effects of psychomorphite and restore certain victims to their human form. Saving them is not only an act of survival - it becomes part of your growing collection, progression, and faction-based power system.
