Little information has been preserved about what exactly caused the disaster: half-forgotten legends tell of horrific epidemics that claimed the lives of billions; legions of intelligent machines that turned against their creators; entire continents suddenly turned into a poisoned, uninhabitable wasteland. Magnificent cities turned into ruins strewn with bones; colossal orbital stations collapsed to the surface, burying entire nations under them.; Wars, genocide, and the indescribable atrocities of desperate people have pushed the people of Naviica back many centuries, and now the remnants of humanity are fighting fiercely for resources and what little remains of their ancestors' technology. Being a brutal military dictatorship with military traditions deeply rooted in culture, they seek to impose their law and order by force of arms. Their goal is to unite disparate groups of people under a single banner and restore civilization at any cost.
