It was once recognized as one of the most powerful organizations in existence. Its collections held far more than books. Within its halls were knowledge, records of trials, Arcana Pact legacies, and countless secrets buried by history. Every complete Pact associated with the twenty-two Major Arcana was once documented here. Now, its collections have been scattered, its lineages severed, and most of its halls sealed away. The only being still capable of answering you is the Fading Echo—a weakened remnant of consciousness whose memories are fractured and whose power is nearly spent. And you are the Fate Library’s sole remaining heir. Its last successor. 【PREPARE, EMBARK, AND SET OUT ONCE MORE】 The game revolves around two interconnected phases: preparing at home and embarking on randomized expeditions. Organize your deck and inventory → Choose a region to explore → Advance through a randomized map → Face battles and events → Collect cards and materials → Return home → Brew alchemical preparations → Complete Pact Rank Trials → Set out once more At home, you can organize your deck, inventory, and character attributes, research alchemical formulas, and plan your next journey according to the region, time of day, and weather. Every expedition generates an entirely new side-scrolling map. You must choose your path among battles, random events, merchants, treasures, resting places, and powerful enemies, earning experience, cards, gold, materials, and fragments of lost knowledge along the way. Pressing deeper promises greater rewards—but also deadlier enemies. Returning at the right moment allows you to preserve your gains, refine your build, research new formulas, and prepare for the next expedition. 【WIELD COUNTLESS CARDS AND THE FIFTY-SIX MINOR ARCANA】 Tarot is not merely decorative. It forms a fundamental part of both combat and progression. You can use a wide variety of ordinary cards while building your deck around the complete set of fifty-six Minor Arcana. Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles each possess their own elemental affinities, tactical roles, and symbolic meanings. Every Minor Arcana card has both an Upright and a Reversed form. Each form develops its own Attunement, advances through its own growth stages, and gradually unlocks a different branch of effects. The same card may reveal a stable and constructive side—or unleash possibilities that are aggressive, dangerous, or entirely unexpected. To truly master a Tarot card is to understand and command every possibility it contains. 【FORM ARCANA PACTS WITH THE TWENTY-TWO MAJOR ARCANA】 Your journey does not always begin with The Fool. An ordinary person must first receive an answer from the archetype of a Major Arcana before they can establish a connection with it. The archetypal anchors preserved within the Fate Library can help its final heir stabilize that initial bond. Because of this, you may choose your first Arcana Pact from any of the twenty-two Major Arcana. The Fool symbolizes the unknown, adventure, and infinite possibility. The Magician represents creation, communication, and mastery of skill. The High Priestess embodies wisdom, intuition, and hidden knowledge. The Emperor pursues order and control. Death signifies endings, transformation, and rebirth... An Arcana Pact is permission to borrow a higher power. Within the limits of the agreement, you may invoke the abilities represented by that Arcana. Every Pact contains ten progressive stages, from Pact Rank I to Pact Rank X. Raising your Pact Rank unlocks new skill cards and contractual abilities. Before each advancement, however, you must complete an ongoing Pact Rank Trial. These trials involve no additional success chance or penalty for failure. Once you fulfill the objective, your Pact Rank will advance without uncertainty. Your task is to understand the Arcana’s symbolism, complete the trials it sets before you, and learn to wield the power it permits you to borrow. 【FREEFORM ALCHEMY AND TWO DISTINCT PATHS OF PROGRESSION】 Materials obtained during expeditions possess different elements, medicinal properties, quality levels, hidden traits, and potential substitutes. You may freely select your ingredients, adjust their quantities with precision, seek out synergistic combinations, avoid conflicting properties, or attempt to trigger undiscovered effects. The final result may also be influenced by the time, weather, location, and your level of alchemical expertise. Published formulas offer reliable guidance, but they are not necessarily the only solutions. Through repeated experimentation and careful record-keeping, you can discover better ingredient combinations, unusual proportions, and hidden effects, then preserve them as alchemical formulas of your own. Alchemical preparations can restore your condition, enhance your combat abilities, help you survive dangerous environments, or provide additional tactical options for your next expedition. Incorrect ingredients or quantities may weaken the result, cause toxins to accumulate, produce harmful side effects, or simply waste precious resources. Character Level and Pact Rank form two independent progression systems. Experience and Character Level affect your attributes and the growth of your Minor Arcana. Pact Rank determines only how many skills and powers have been unlocked through your current Major Arcana Pact. Alchemy, meanwhile, gives you the tools to overcome the many dangers of your journey. 【COMPLETE ALL TWENTY-TWO ARCANA PACTS】 To restore the core legacy of the Fate Library, you must reconstruct the complete records of all twenty-two Major Arcana Pacts. In the past, each Pact was completed by a different bearer. Now, only one heir remains. You. That means you must walk all twenty-two paths yourself. Choose a Major Arcana. Establish an initial connection at Pact Rank I. Complete its trials, gradually unlock its powers, and continue until you reach Pact Rank X. When a Pact reaches Rank X, the Fate Library will archive it as a complete legacy. You must then release your current Pact, surrender the powers you have gained, and establish a new connection with another Major Arcana. The Library can stabilize the bond and preserve the completed record, but it cannot fight your battles, make your choices, or complete your trials for you. You will not wield the power of all twenty-two Arcana at once. What you will carry instead is the experience of reaching the summit twenty-two times—and relinquishing everything with your own hands each time. 【AN EXPEDITION MAY END, BUT YOUR LEGACY ENDURES】 Individual expeditions come to an end, but your progression and inheritance are never reset. Your Character Level, gold, card collection, Attunement, materials, formulas, discovered knowledge, and current Pact Rank progress are all preserved in your long-term save. You may continue developing the deck you assembled during an expedition, or rebuild it entirely and begin your next journey with a completely different strategy. When an Arcana Pact reaches Rank X and is fully archived, its legacy is permanently preserved within the Fate Library. Even after you release that Pact, its completed record will never disappear. Each expedition allows the heir to grow. Each completed Pact returns another lost legacy to the Library. And with every restored record, the Fate Library slowly awakens. 【UNCOVER THE TRUTH BEHIND THE LIBRARY’S FALL】 How did the Fate Library fall from one of the most powerful organizations in the world to a name that almost no one remembers? Some claim that it caused an unforgivable catastrophe and was destroyed by an alliance of rival powers. Others believe its strength crossed a forbidden boundary of the world itself, bringing about its inevitable ruin. Still others insist that the true betrayal came from within the Library. The Fading Echo tells you that the previous Head Librarian held a Pact with The World and had already reached Pact Rank IX. Had he completed one final trial, he would have unlocked Pact Rank X and awakened the treasure sleeping in the deepest reaches of the Library. But news of this achievement was somehow leaked. At the final moment, the Head Librarian was betrayed. His connection to the Pact was forcibly severed, and the Fate Library began its descent into ruin. Yet this is not the whole truth. Who leaked the information? Who was truly responsible for the attack on the Head Librarian? Why did The World’s Pact collapse at the final step? Was the hidden treasure truly never awakened? Has someone tampered with the Fading Echo’s memories? Was the Fate Library the victim of a catastrophe, its creator—or both? The Fading Echo is your first mentor. It is also a narrator whose every claim must ultimately be verified by you. 【THREE WISHES】 In the deepest reaches of the Fate Library sleeps a treasure said to possess the power to grant three wishes. It can only truly awaken once the complete Pacts of all twenty-two Major Arcana have been recorded and preserved. The first wish has already been written into the covenant of inheritance: Restore the Fate Library and return this ancient power, forgotten by the world, to its former place in history. The other two wishes belong to you. You may use them to return to Earth, undo the regrets of your past, reshape this world, or build a future entirely different from the Library that once existed. But after borrowing twenty-two different powers—and willingly surrendering each one in turn—will you still remain the person you were at the beginning? Should the Fate Library you restore be the institution that once existed? Or should it become the foundation of a new age, defined by you?
