Towers of Babble

Words and Towers Towers of Babble mixes classic word game gameplay with tower defense. Spell words to make buildings. Every noun becomes a building you can place on the map. Build harvesters to collect resources and towers to fight off waves of relentless enemies. Every building has unique stats and abilities that are determined by the word that created it. AXE harvests wood, FORT is a strong tower with extra health and armor, and DOCTOR is a weak tower with an aura that heals nearby structures. Adjectives and verbs create special mods that can be attached to buildings to boost their stats and give them additional abilities. Fight for Glory In addition to creating buildings, every noun is also a unique level with procedurally-generated features. The bigger the word, the harder the level. When you clear a level you add that word to your personal collection, and you can add that building to your starting inventory for all future levels. If you're the first player to clear a level, your name gets permanently inscribed on it. If you have the high score on a level, then you get a special bonus to the stats of the building it generates. Massively Co-op The game has over 120,000 levels organized into 8 tiers of difficulty. In addition to competing for first clears and high scores, players are also working together to try to clear every level. As Librarians in the vast and mysterious Library of Babble, our collective mission is to recover all of the words cast into the void by an angry god and reassemble the linguistic architecture that will let us reach heaven. As you clear levels you will ascend the ranks of this cryptic order, gaining knowledge and power. Higher levels introduce tougher enemies and complex, puzzle-like challenges which can only be defeated by exploiting the game's deeply combinatory stat-boosting system and mastering its multi-layered mechanics.
