For centuries, the land was watched over by the Five Moons — ancient gods, each embodying a different force: knowledge, nature, illusion, courage, and war. Until one night, something changed. Their nature was thrown out of balance, and with it, the entire world. Monsters began emerging from their domains, attacking settlements and leaving nothing but ruins in their wake. No one knows what happened to the gods. To uncover the truth, you must venture into the night and collect crystals belonging to each of the Moons. Gather enough of them to open a portal to the domain of a chosen god. But a real challenge awaits you there. Enter the Moon's own domain, defeat it, and restore it to balance. Welcome to the World of Moonloot Moonloot is a 2D top-down roguelite combining horde combat, exploration, loot, extraction, and village progression. Each night, venture beyond the safety of your settlement to gather resources, rescue survivors, and collect the crystals needed to open a portal to the domain of one of the Five Moons. EVERY NIGHT CHANGES THE RULES Every expedition is different. Venture beyond the settlement, hunt hordes of monsters, complete nightly objectives, collect crystals, gather loot, and search for special chests. The active Moon influences what you can expect during each expedition. Monsters can gain new abilities, appear in greater numbers, or become far more dangerous. The longer you stay out in the night, the greater the risk. Get what you came for and make it back before the night swallows you — along with all the loot you were carrying. GATHER LOOT. DEVELOP YOUR VILLAGE. Every expedition provides resources needed to rebuild your settlement. Wood, stone, iron, and other materials allow you to expand your buildings and unlock new possibilities. As the settlement grows, it begins to come alive. Who you rescue and which jobs you assign them to will shape how well you are prepared for the nights ahead. FIGHT. EXPLORE. LOOT. The night belongs to the monsters. Explore different regions, fight hordes of enemies, hunt elites and bosses, and search for valuable loot. Among the ruins, you will also find special chests. You never know what might be waiting inside. Collect equipment, develop your character, and experiment with different builds.
