Playtest 🎮 Moominvalley VR Playtest Information Welcome to the Moominvalley VR Steam Playtest. Thank you for helping us test this early version of the game. 30–40 min playtest adventure ending at the cliffs. This build is still in active development, so you may encounter bugs, unfinished areas, missing animations, temporary sounds, performance issues, or gameplay systems that are still being adjusted. About the game Moominvalley VR is a story-driven virtual reality adventure inspired by the world of Moominvalley. In the current playtest, you will explore the valley as Snufkin, meet familiar characters, solve environmental puzzles, interact with objects, and follow a developing adventure through forests, houses, rivers, caves, and other locations around Moominvalley. When reporting a bug, please use the discord link found on this page The current experience is approximately 45–60 minutes, depending on your play style and how much you explore. Supported hardware This playtest is intended for PCVR headsets, including: - Meta Quest headsets connected to a PC using Link, Air Link, Steam Link, or another compatible connection - Other SteamVR-compatible PCVR headsets A VR-ready Windows PC and SteamVR are required. What we would like you to test Please pay particular attention to: - Game performance and frame rate - Character movement and camera comfort - Interaction with objects - Dialogue and story progression - Puzzles and objectives - Character animation and companion behaviour - Places where you become stuck or cannot continue - Crashes, visual errors, collision problems, or missing sounds - Anything that feels unclear, uncomfortable, or frustrating When reporting a bug, please tell us: - What happened - Where it happened - What you were doing immediately before it happened - Which headset and PC hardware you are using - Whether the problem happened again after restarting Please post reports in 🐞・bugs and general feedback in 💡・suggestions or 💬・project-talk. Important confidentiality notice This is a private pre-release playtest. Recording, streaming, publishing, or sharing gameplay videos, screenshots, audio, story details, game files, or other material from this playtest is currently prohibited. Please do not share playtest content on social media, YouTube, Twitch, Discord servers, forums, websites, or with people who are not participating in the approved test. These restrictions are necessary because the game is based on licensed intellectual property and the material has not yet been approved for public release. Before playing Please make sure that: - SteamVR is installed and running - Your headset is correctly connected to your PC - Your controllers are active and tracked - You have enough free space to play safely - Your graphics drivers are reasonably up to date - You close unnecessary background applications if performance is poor Your feedback matters This playtest is not about finding only what works. Honest feedback about confusing, broken, uncomfortable, or unfinished parts is extremely valuable.
