Jump Bald

Synopsis "Bald people... Sweet and beautiful bald people of the world... A highly discriminated minority, who used to live peacefully until that message arrived: 'Twinkle twinkle, little bald'... The rage was total. Now, the sweet and beautiful little bald folk have taken up their weapons and joined forces to reach the summit and defeat their vile aggressor." - Narrator's Voice. A bizarre, irreverent and simple story The king of the hairy-headed made a joke about bald people, and they decide to take revenge. You, as the bald-boxer-knight that you are, must reach the top of the tower where the king hides to deliver your alopecic justice. But you're not alone! Other bald folk have been left along the way and won't hesitate to lend you a hand. Gameplay Jump Bald is a metroidvania platformer built on pixel-perfect precision. Every jump is a challenge. Nothing here comes for free, quite the opposite: you'll have to pay for every mistake you make. The system is simple: by aiming with your cursor, you decide the direction and the force of your next jump. But mastering that jump is the key to the game. Nothing is as easy as it looks. Every kind of terrain and platform has its trick. The moment you misjudge your landing, you'll come crashing down through all your hard-earned progress in a physics-fueled tumble that just won't seem to stop until it's destroyed you morally... And it's back to the beginning! On your way to the summit, you'll find other bald folk like you. They'll give you advice and even offer up their weapons, which will let you modify your jump and reach areas you couldn't access before. Only by combining the power of all 3 weapons will you be able to reach the top... Developer's note: It's not all as bad as it seems... We love souls-likes, so we left a couple of bonfires around so that when you die, you don't respawn from the starting point. Rage game + Metroidvania Unlike other greats like Jump King or Getting Over It, which are our inspiration, this title aims to drive you up the wall with every failure—but with something more to gain. The map is simple, but it combines metroidvania mechanics and backtracking to deliver a complete puzzle experience. You won't just have to worry about every jump; you'll also need to figure out how to access each area of the map and unlock the game's three weapons in order to reach the summit.
