The Itch Has Begun. A flea has moved in. The cat is not amused. You are caught in the middle — and the only way out is through. ITCHING is a humorous card-strategy game set in the eternal conflict between a flea colony and a house cat. Choose your side, build your strategy, and unleash chaos through a hand of special ability cards, energy management, and tactical decision-making — all wrapped in a hand-painted comic watercolor art style. Choose Your Faction Play as the Fleas — a scrappy, resourceful colony with cards that drain the cat's energy, exploit hotspots, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Survive long enough and the cat will give up scratching entirely. Play as the Cat — a powerful, lazy predator with cards that crush, freeze, and scatter the flea army. One well-placed paw swipe can end the game in an instant. Each faction has its own unique deck of ability cards with distinct mechanics, art, and flavor text. Core Gameplay ITCHING is built around a tug-of-war energy system. Every turn, players spend and steal energy, trigger card effects, and try to push their opponent's energy to zero. The game rewards careful resource management, timing, and knowing when to hold a card for the perfect moment. Energy Management: Drain your opponent's energy while protecting your own. Reach zero and it's game over. Ability Cards: Each faction has a hand of special cards with unique effects — buffs, debuffs, reactions, and surprise attacks. Hotspot System: Control key positions on the board to gain energy bonuses each round. Campaign Mode: Progress through a series of escalating encounters with increasing difficulty and new card unlocks. Basement Chronicle: A separate story-driven mode set in the dark underbelly of the house, with its own cast of characters and challenges. FleaChess — A Game Within the Game A fully playable chess variant where cat pieces face off against flea pieces — all in the same comic watercolor style. FleaChess adds a layer of strategic depth with 12 unique special ability cards (6 per faction) that can be played during the match to freeze pieces, clear rows, swap positions, and more.
