How Much for the Body in the Freezer is a short visual novel about... ...about what, exactly? Normally, this is where I’m supposed to build up your expectations. This is the store description page, after all, right? You know, that familiar nightlife district, the corpse in the freezer, the cute girl. Just line them up, follow the thread, and keep writing from there. Everyone’s happy. Clap, clap, clap. But I can’t do that. Because this story is far too ordinary. So ordinary that even I can’t stand it. If I told you this was a thrilling suspense story, packed with one climax after another, then by the time you reached the end, you would probably... well... Maybe you wouldn’t be furious, but you’d at least be disappointed, wouldn’t you? Ah. Without meaning to, I’ve gone and written another thing I don’t know how to recommend to anyone. After all, in this life of mine—not long, but not exactly short either—I’ve learned a little about this thing called “expectation.” For example, coming to a certain street with a certain impression, a certain expectation, only to find it isn’t what you imagined.
