Grandfather's Estate

Your grandfather has summoned you to his secluded estate with an urgent message. But when you arrive, he is nowhere to be found. The only clue is a note claiming that he's working on the verge of a new scientific breakthrough somewhere in his underground "workshop." Finding him, however, turns out to be somewhat less trivial than you had hoped. The estate is crawling with grotesque creatures, filled with bizarre contraptions, and littered with evidence that perhaps Grandfather's research has gone a little too far. GRANDPA BUILT IT THIS WAY Grandfather wasn't particularly fond of conventional architecture — or conventional security. Search an interconnected estate filled with locked rooms, hidden passages and increasingly questionable engineering. Find keys, examine objects, piece together clues and gradually turn an unfamiliar mansion into a place you know inside out. AMMUNITION DOESN'T GROW ON TREES Ammunition is limited, enemies are persistent, and running away sometimes is a perfectly reasonable strategy. Handle your weapons manually, choose when to fight, and decide whether that thing shambling toward you is really worth another shotgun shell. Search carefully, conserve supplies and try not to become another one of Grandfather's experiments. PERHAPS DON'T ASK WHAT HE WAS WORKING ON Strange machines, grotesque experiments, homemade security systems. And, of course, an alarming quantity of explosives.
