On and off the pitch, you are the manager, you are the brain. Speaking off brain, the opponents watch you, game after game: Do the same thing on every turn and you can be sure they will guess what you will do, breaking that play immediately and getting the ball from you, marking the exact men you pass and breaking havoc on your half. Your players gain experience for everything they do right (so does the rest of the league), and there awaits you the skill tree and upgrades for when they level up.
