CITIZEN: By order of the Central Refuge Administration, you have been assigned to the Office of Resource Distribution and Control, where you must serve for the next 30 days. Your work will consist of reviewing the documentation that arrives at your station and ensuring that each procedure is processed in accordance with current regulations. The Administration trusts that you will carry out your duties with attention, discipline, and absolute impartiality. Each day, a guard will deliver to your station the procedures you must process. Through the documents, you will have to compare their coupons and work records, review certificates and extraordinary requests, and determine the provisions corresponding to each case. Pay attention to every document: an apparently insignificant discrepancy can change the outcome of a procedure. To facilitate your work, you will have a rulebook at your disposal and will receive the bulletins issued by the Administration. The needs of the refuge may require modifying procedures, suspending certain allocations, or establishing new restrictions. Stay informed and always apply current regulations, for what was correct yesterday may not be correct today. Among the documentation that reaches your hands, you will also find correspondence from the inhabitants of the refuge. You must read each letter and verify that its content does not violate current restrictions. Permitted correspondence must be AUTHORIZED, while any that contains restricted information must be CONFISCATED and removed from circulation. What happens to it afterward is not part of your duties. Proper fulfillment of your obligations will be rewarded with merits. You may accumulate them and use them to obtain food, water, or medicine when your workday ends. Manage them responsibly. The refuge’s resources are limited, and the Administration can only guarantee provisions that have been duly obtained. At the end of your work, you will return to your family. There, you will decide how to use the provisions you have earned. Everyone needs to eat and drink, but there may not be enough for everyone. Illnesses are also part of life underground, and when they appear, having medicine can make a difference. Manage your resources carefully, citizen. Your family depends on you. During your service, certain documents may draw your attention. Records that do not quite match. Incidents in different sectors. Correspondence that should never have reached your hands. Information about places you do not need to know. If something seems out of place, remember that your responsibility remains the same: review the documentation and apply the rules. Do not allow rumors or matters unrelated to your duties to interfere with your work. Do not investigate on your own initiative, do not interfere with Security procedures, and do not spread information that has not been officially communicated by the Administration. For your safety and that of the other inhabitants, any attempt to leave the refuge is prohibited. Fulfill your work. Protect your family. Trust the Administration.
