READ CAREFULLY. ANSWER HONESTLY. ACCEPT THE TERMS. Terms of Service is a short, linear psychological horror game about compliance, surveillance, and a questionnaire that becomes increasingly hostile. You sit alone before an old CRT monitor. Your task appears simple: Answer 100 Yes/No questions. At first, they are ordinary. Personal, perhaps, but harmless. Then the questions change. The CRT begins to distort. Memories interrupt the questionnaire. The system becomes increasingly invasive, and its demands begin to feel less like questions and more like instructions. Something is wrong with the service. And it seems to know far more about you than it should. THE QUESTIONNAIRE Work through 100 Yes/No questions as a routine agreement gradually turns into a psychological horror experience. The questions become more personal, coercive and disturbing as the system begins testing how readily you will comply. Your attention remains exactly where the service wants it: On the screen. On the questions. On your answers. MEMORIES BREAK THROUGH The questionnaire does not stay confined to the CRT. Fragments of another person's life begin appearing around you, revealing pieces of a disturbing story hidden behind the service. As the memories continue, the boundary between the questionnaire and what happened before it becomes harder to ignore. THE SYSTEM DETERIORATES The CRT and the room become increasingly unstable as you progress. Visual distortion, flickering lights, interrupted questions and aggressive screen effects reflect a system that is becoming less controlled, and increasingly threatening.
