Star Patrol Nova

Star Patrol Nova is a roguelike deck builder with a branching plot inspired by science fiction cartoons of the 1980s and 1990s. The Star Patrol was formed following the catastrophic Gravity Wars of the 32nd Century, to ensure conflict of that scale was never seen again. For 200 years civilisations were rebuilt and alliances between the world's reforged. The game begins with the abduction of a peace emissary on passage to vital peace talks between two volatile worlds. Somebody doesn't want peace, and that could be the beginnings of something dire. Travel to multiple worlds on missions to unravel the mystery and choose between different priorities to advance the plot in different directions. - You start with a team of four, but as the adventure progresses you gain new allies. Choose from a selection of characters to create a perfect team to take on each challenge.(The demo contains only the four starting characters) - Build your collection of cards by choosing from a selection after each battle. Or spend your hard earned credits to buy new cards from shops you'll encounter while down on the planet surface. - Customise your deck from your collection at any time between battles. Refine your deck as you gain new cards in your attempt to tailor the perfect synergies. - Characters have special abilities that charge up as you deal damage to your opponents. When fully charged you can activate the ability to summon additional cards or deal extra damage. - Your team members level up and you can choose how to invest their skill points. Do you want them to be a walking shield to protect their allies, a healer, or have the firepower to deal the most damage possible. (Levelling up will occur after each mission, but as only one mission is included in the demo, this feature is not in the demo) - Encounter a variety of residents on each planet that may help or hinder your progress. Some of them may hold unique cards that could aid you on your mission. - Whether they are firing their trusty blasters or getting right into the action with fists or melee weapons, your character cards have fully animated attacks. Likewise, your opponents have their own unique animations. Note: No ai has been or will be used during any stage of this games development.
