关于 Sandpipers! The Sea-Quell
The moon is in pieces. The tides are broken.
The King Crab smashed the moon to ruin the tides and drown every sandpiper on the coast. Now the sea comes and goes as it pleases, the beach belongs to his criminal empire, and the pieces of the moon are locked up in his forts.
Sandpipers don't fly. They run. Your flock is going to get the moon back, one fragment at a time.
Beak first. Questions later.
Press and hold, and the flock gathers to your finger, your cursor or your reticle. Move, and they follow: beak first, at speed, into whatever is in the way. Brick cracks. Rock takes work. Steel doesn't care how hard you hit it, so find the bombs.
The tide is undefeated. So far.
With the moon gone, every level breathes on its own schedule. The water pulls back and opens a window. The water comes in and takes any bird it touches. The fragments near the beach are the easy ones. The ones out in the deep want you to count waves.
Grow the flock. Feed the flock.
Eggs wash up; grab one and a new bird joins. A bigger flock hits harder. Hungry birds slow down, so when the tide goes out, go crabbing. The crab has it coming. Lose every bird and the run is over.
Every sandpiper has a name and a bio. The fallen get a memorial. Someone always wins MVP, usually the one who was banned from the crab buffet.
Eight worlds. Every kind of trouble.
- Bombs chain. One lights the next. Set off a whole fort with a single bird.
- Mines go off when touched, or when something near them does.
- Beaks shatter Glass but bombs don't break it.
- Fire flowers spit fireballs.
- Ice slides, so shove it into things.
- Coconuts whip vines that can cut through steel.
- Taffy catches birds and slings them back. Fast enough, a bird catches fire.
- Lightning loves steel. Wind shoves your birds and your aim. Watch the rain.
- Bell buoys open keyed gates.
- One-way gates mean no way back.
- Lava burns when the tide pulls out. And in Mono, everything is a silhouette. Trust your beak.
From the sunny sand of Retropia to the pink, not-quite-right beaches of Nom Nom (don't ask what's in the water), the vines of Jungle Gym, the bioluminescent night of Glow Tide, the ice shelves of Cold Snap, molten Cinder Cove and gale-lashed Storm Surge. Then the boss fights. The King Crab is not giving the moon back.
