Hush Darling

Hush Darling is a psychological point-and-click narrative game in which you follow the life of a young woman and how she attempts to hide the visible signs of an abusive relationship. It is inspired by the aesthetics and gameplay of the classic makeup and dress-up games many of us played during our childhood. Interact with her face and use makeup tools to mask bruises and injuries while the story gradually reveals what is happening behind the seemingly cute facade. As the game progresses, the injuries become increasingly difficult to conceal, and the reality of her relationship becomes harder to ignore. Through its point-and-click gameplay, interactive makeup mechanics, and narrative progression, Hush Darling explores physical and emotional abuse, domestic violence, and the silence that often surrounds it.
