Li Zicheng's rebel army closes in on the capital, iron cavalry hammers at the frontier walls beyond the passes, the treasury stands empty, and every man at court harbors his own schemes.
A realm long tormented by factionalism and harsh rule yearns for a wise sovereign. The situation shifts by the hour — enemies press in from every side, and military dispatches arrive without cease.
