Mr. President We Have A Situation!

Mr. President We Have a Situation! is a desktop overlay game where you make tough decisions to secure the future of the country and the presidency. The decisions have long lasting effects. The game is intended to be played alongside work or study sessions (or any kind of activity really, like playing other games or watching movies) using Pomodoro technique to focus on work. It utilizes focused work sessions with break sessions in between. At the start of such sessions, whether it is work or break, the game introduces issue cards for you (Mr. President) to make a decision on. It does not force you to make a decision right away, rather it notifies you that there's something that needs your attention. You can take care of it when you are available, for you are Mr. President, and no task can truly force your hand to take action at that exact moment. The gameplay is fairly simple. You just drag the issue card left or right depending on how you choose to resolve the issue. These decisions have lasting effects on the trend of your resources. Will you spend your hard-earned gold to feed the people and gain some political power in the process, or will you increase the influence of your army at the cost of the people's happiness? Remember: as too little of something is bad, it is equally bad (in some cases even worse) to have too much of something. As the saying goes: everything in moderation, especially resources in a desktop game! This game is something we made for ourselves and sincerely hope you enjoy it too.
