Fakin’ It XL is bringing good, (mostly) clean, lying fun to your next game night! One of the most beloved Jackbox party games is getting a fresh coat of paint. In Fakin’ It XL, players receive a simple instruction on their phone or device. Something like, “raise your hand if you’ve ever pretended to like a gift you hated.” Easy enough, right? Except one player, the Faker, never got the prompt and has to blend in like they know exactly what’s going on. Make a split decision to try to convince everyone you’re in the loop. Once the real prompt is revealed, the Faker must have a good lie queued up to explain themself! It’s up to the group to sniff out the Faker by grilling each other about their answers, and it’s the Faker’s job to lie through their teeth and shift the blame onto someone else. Survive three rounds of interrogation without getting caught and you’ll walk away with a mountain of points. What’s New? We’ve taken the bones of the Fakin’ It you know and love with round types and content, borrowed from the updated structure of Fakin’ It All Night Long, and added brand-new content and questions types. And, you no longer need to save this one solely for in-person gatherings. We’ve added a new mode to make it easier and more fun to play with your friends online. At the start of the game, you’ll be able to select whether you’re playing with folks in the room or remotely via a stream or video call. Then, you’ll receive round types customized to that experience so it’s easy to play together or from afar. Only one person needs to own the game for everyone to play. Use your phone, tablet, or any web-enabled device as your controller to jump right in.
