Anathema

The world was shaped by four deities. In addition to creating people and the world they inhabit, they also created the divine cycles. Each seat of divine power would need to be periodically replaced in order to maintain balance in the mortal realm. For over a millennium, this system worked without flaw. However, the current gods, corrupted by their hold on power and the decay of time, have begun to fester. These once mortals ascended to godhood some 400 years ago and were meant to be replaced by others. Despite this, for a unique reason each god decided to forgo relinquishing their domain. In their selfish cling to power, the domains they are supposed to rule over have begun to ruin, unleashing chaos and horrors across the mortal realm. Play as angels cast out from heaven, fighting through ever growing hoards of enemies to ascend up to the heavens and restore the natural order. Each angel comes with a unique playstyle and deck-augmenting abilities: Nothing: Stoic and unmoving, this angel represents their god with powerful melee swings and cutting through parts of the playing field with literal nothing. Charge into battle tanking hits and using your broadsword to sweep enemies out of the way of your path. Dissonance: A blur of sharp steel and chaos, they use their quick slashing attacks to move from enemy to enemy, building up stacks of entropy. Spend these stacks to unleash a flurry of strikes and slice through your enemies. Logic: Master of the arcane, they command powerful magic with ease. Possessing both a high damage output and buffing capabilities, they offer a highly technical form of gameplay. Their ability to swiftly regain spells allows you to be a master of the battlefield. …and others. - Create Powerful Builds!
