In a loosely norse mythology inspired fantasy metroidvania, assume the role of Rye Brynfire, a shut-in elf girl grown up in solitude with her blacksmith father in a city still wounded from war years ago. Lacking any connections other than a single passing friend, and a higher purpose in life, she spends her days practicing magics in her attic bedroom in secrecy, waiting for a day when she'll have the courage to finally experience the wider world. On one particular night, as Rye's only friend sets out for another journey, Rye finally gathers the courage necessary to chase after her. However, she wakes up the following morning on the ground, her home city leveled, turned into an ashen wasteland covered in beautiful daisies, her friend dead. All she can remember is a catching a strange man attacking and interrogating her friend. With only a handful of leads and her friend's spear, she sets out to find the one responsible to shove the sharp end into his heart.
