Three Kingdoms Classic: Korea
The Front Lines Keep Moving
In 660, lead Goguryeo, Baekje, or Silla through a war across the Korean Peninsula. Armies move along the roads as time advances. Study the strategic map, pause or change the pace, and issue new orders as the front lines shift.
Tang China and Wa (Japan) pursue their own interests beyond the three kingdoms. The side you choose, the powers you negotiate with, and the armies you commit can turn the same map into a very different war.
Turn the Strength of a Kingdom into an Army
Manage your treasury and provisions while recruiting and training troops. Raising another army is only the beginning: consider the route it must march, the supplies it will consume, and the reserves you leave behind.
Officers can command armies, defend strongholds, or serve the state. Decide where your limited people and resources matter most. A victory in battle means little if the kingdom cannot sustain the next campaign.
Choose Where to Fight—And When to Negotiate
Move armies between strongholds by land and sea. Reinforce a threatened border, protect a key route, or reach a crossroads before the enemy does.
War is not your only option. Improve relations, seek a truce, or fight alongside an ally. Time gained through diplomacy can help you rebuild your forces, while a commitment on one front may leave another exposed.
Command Field Battles and Sieges Yourself
When armies meet, take direct control of infantry, archers, and cavalry in real-time battles. Plains, forests, rivers, and coasts create different approaches and risks. Adapt your formations to the ground and choose the moment to attack.
The tactics available change with the battlefield. Breach a dam to unleash a flood at supported crossings, hide troops in forests for an ambush, or trigger rockfalls on hilly ground. Fire attacks can disrupt an approach, but weather and the position of your own troops matter too.
In a siege, walls, gates, and access routes shape the fight. Position your troops to break through or hold the defenses. Victories and losses carry back to your armies and front lines on the campaign map.
One War, Decisions That Carry Forward
Capturing a stronghold is not the end of a campaign. Rebuild your armies, restore your provisions, and prepare for the next threat. Today's offensive may make tomorrow's defense harder.
Govern the kingdom, move the front, and lead the battle. The fate of the three kingdoms rests not on one victory, but on the choices that let you keep fighting.
