Ancient pagan religions returned. Berlin became Welthauptstadt Germania, the center of the world. But in 2001, everything collapsed. A catastrophic terrorist attack destroyed the imperial capital and killed millions. The regime began constructing a new capital: Second Germania. Then they arrived. Unknown beings descended from the stars. They did not speak. They did not negotiate. They left behind only a crystal virus. Civilization died soon after. The infected spread across the planet.
