Supplant

The Supplant rule: capture a piece, become that piece. Your pawn takes a knight and your pawn is now a knight, sitting on that square, moving like a knight. Kings are exempt. Everything else is the chess you know. That single change rewrites the game from move one. Every trade transforms both sides of the board. Your queen can take a pawn and become one. A hanging bishop is an offer as much as it is material. Sometimes the strongest move on the board is forcing your opponent to capture something.Built for players.
