Roast and Toast

Roast and Toast is a cozy yet wild, physical tavern-management simulator for up to 4 players (2-player local co-op recommended). It's a game where creating dishes starts with planting a seed, and ends in a havoc of burning bread. There are two distinct phases: working, and not working. But of course the tavern manager works all the time, even when the tavern is closed. In the Preparation Phase you'll take care of your garden, go shopping, or go out exploring the town or forests. But the town has gone through a lot lately, and the forests are not safe anymore... You and your tavern will need to be a beacon of safety and warmth. To be a good host you'll need to get ready for opening. How do you want to bake bread and feed all these people if you have no wheat prepared? Luckily, under your roof, the worst thing that can happen is them leaving sad and hungry. It's truly the worst. So you'd better prepare some ingredients. And when you have the ingredients, open the doors to your tavern and welcome your guests with food and drinks from your menu. Of course they'll order something you haven't prepared. Of course they'll order 12 mugs of your finest brew when all your barrels are filled with juice. Luckily, they'll eventually leave, and you'll be able to recover and start a new day. You can play the game however you want. Want to make everything from scratch? You can. Want to automate things? Yes, you can. Want to buy things from the town? Yes, you can! But it's not just the way you create the end product that's customizable. You can choose what you want to serve in your tavern, it's yours, after all. Only top-shelf, exclusive, bourgeois dishes? Of course. Simple, hearty food? Yup. Only drinks? Sure, why not. Worried hungry customers will get hangry? No problem. Just tell them to chill out and go for a walk or something. And speaking of customization, do you want mods? Because you all get mods!
