Meowmories is a horror adventure game in which you explore a nightmare world rendered in Unreal Engine 5 from a cat's perspective, searching for a way to reunite with your owner. Hide from monsters, run for your life, and learn their behavior and escape routes through repeated attempts as you overcome the nightmare. Beyond the fear lies a haunting story that follows the memories shared by a cat and its owner. YOUR STORY WITH YOUR CAT Before beginning the game, you can name both the owner and the cat. This is a story about the bond between you and your beloved cat, a bond that transcends words. LEARN FROM FAILURE AND OVERCOME THE NIGHTMARE Each time a monster catches you, you will learn a little more about where enemies appear, which routes offer an escape, and where items can be found. Use that knowledge to make progress on your next attempt. Slip through narrow gaps, take refuge on high ground, and find your own way forward among multiple escape routes. One of the game's central rewards is using what you have learned from failure to overcome situations that once seemed impossible. THREE DIFFICULTY LEVELS You can change the difficulty at any time from the Options menu. - KITTEN: For players who want to enjoy the story and atmosphere with a more forgiving level of challenge - CAT: The standard difficulty, offering tension and a meaningful challenge - MEOWMARE: For players who want to face an even harsher nightmare The default setting when you begin the game is CAT. If the game feels too difficult, you can switch to KITTEN at any time. SCAN ABILITY Scanning reveals nearby enemies and items. However, using it also exposes the cat's location to the monsters. Choosing whether to risk detection for information or remain hidden can determine whether you survive. YOUR VOICE BECOMES POWER Meow into your microphone to temporarily stop the monsters closing in on you. A microphone is not required, and the entire game can be completed using button controls. However, using your real voice provides a small advantage over using the button. COLLECT MEMORIES AND DISCOVER THREE ENDINGS Finding the keepsakes scattered throughout the nightmare changes how the story ends. The game features three endings, clear-time records, and Steam achievements. Estimated playtime is approximately 2-3 hours. A MESSAGE TO CAT LOVERS The game includes scenes in which the cat is struck by a monster, collapses, and disappears into smoke. However, there is no blood, visible injury, or painful crying. The game takes place in a nightmare, and even after failure, the cat will rise again and continue its journey back to its owner.
