IDLEPUNK - Ghost Link

Set in the cyberpunk corpo-state of NewHaven, IDLEPUNK - Ghost Link is a story-driven idle management RPG. Recruit and equip a crew of operatives, take on contracts across a hostile city, build your reputation, and uncover the stories behind the people working for you. Current IDLEPUNK - Ghost Link features include: - A cyberpunk idle RPG where you run a contract-security outfit in a living, faction-driven city. - Strategic operations built around recruiting operatives, assembling squads, reading mission odds, and navigating persistent consequences. - A roster system with distinct roles, traits, injuries, advancements, gear load-outs and squad presets. - Dozen of contracts across the evolving districts of New Haven, city conditions that act as buffs or de-buffs, optional objectives, encounters, and faction progression. - Gear system: collect, equip, salvage, craft, optimise, and fuse equipment into stronger versions. - Specific progression and rewards for: Faction standing, District foothold, Perks, Passive skills linked to your base network. - A rich cyberpunk setting to explore through main and side quests Planned features: Throughout Early Access, I plan to expand IDLEPUNK - Ghost Link with: - New story campaigns and faction questlines shaped by permanent player decisions - More operatives, contracts, vehicles, equipment, music, and Codex lore - Random city incidents and emergency dispatches that make New Haven feel more reactive - Deeper squad-building through new traits, operative synergies, and tactical considerations - Additional district and faction projects with long-term rewards and trade-offs - Continued balance improvements, quality-of-life features, and accessibility options guided by player feedback - Modding support: the game is built in a way that allows the addition of basically anything by anyone this includes, quests, factions, NPCs, specific missions, and different game core balancing. The scope and order of these additions may evolve throughout development. IDLEPUNK - Ghost Link does NOT include any kind of in-game micro-transactions, the game includes a gacha-like system for unit recruitment but the currency used is entirely earned while playing and cannot be bought with real world money. Hello everyone! I’m Lorenzo, a 28-year-old fan of cyberpunk, idle games, and management sims. In my free time, I decided to combine those interests into a small game project. IDLEPUNK - Ghost Link adapts personal stories I originally wrote for fun in 2024 into a story-focused idle management game. While the core loop is built around recruiting operatives, managing resources, and running contracts, my goal is to make the world and its characters the heart of the experience. This early access currently includes a short tutorial, the beginning of one of the story acts and a look at the gameplay systems. I am working on adapting more quests so that they fit the gameplay. I’m sharing this mainly to gauge interest and collect feedback. I’d especially love to hear what feels fun, what feels off, and which mechanics or parts of the interface are unclear or confusing.
