Escape the Umbra

Escape the Umbra combines roguelike deckbuilding with turn-based combat on an isometric grid. Descend into a labyrinth of shifting rooms, build a loadout around the weapons and magic you discover, and fight your way through the darkness. Positioning matters as much as the cards you draw. Move into range, control enemy movement, and use terrain and traps to turn a difficult fight in your favor. Combine elemental attacks and build their intensity to unlock stronger effects. That power strengthens enemies and traps too. Every weapon brings its own cards. Choose your equipment and spells between battles to shape the deck you take into combat. Discover relics with powerful effects, combine their bonuses with your cards, and develop a different build each run. The Umbra conceals more of the battlefield as you descend. Enemies hidden in the darkness still move and attack. Use light to reveal threats and open up new targets. Explore a new labyrinth each run, with different rooms, encounters and rewards. Choose your route through battles, shops and campfires as you prepare to face the dragons below. At a campfire, recover and continue, spend embers to unlock permanent skills, or end the run and carry your embers out.
