Descend. Discover. Survive. CHROMATIDE is a first-person paranormal adventure set inside CHARYBDIS, a brutalist underwater station operated by the secretive OCCTech corporation. As an Emotionmateria Technician, you maintain impossible machines, follow cryptic procedures, and uncover the truth behind an experiment that should never have happened. When an OCCTech experiment triggers a full emergency lockdown, something is released into CHARYBDIS: Paranormal entities now roam the station. You will need to adapt to them, find alternative routes or... face the entities head on. Interact with the world through physical gestures instead of simple button presses. Turn valves, operate machinery, move objects, and manipulate the station by recreating the motions yourself with your mouse or controller stick. CHARYBDIS is dangerous, but not every threat must be fought. Search for alternate routes, use the environment, and decide when to avoid, confront, or use your surreal powers in combat. Explore a world of forbidden experiments and surreal architecture: Collect secrets, recover strange artifacts, and bring them back to ROOM 15 - an extradimensional safe space that shifts between realities. Nothing in CHARYBDIS is what it seems: not your profession, not OCCTech’s mission, and not the powers granted by the mysterious Ammonite. Use abilities like Force Push to fight, solve puzzles, and break parts of the environment as you descend deeper into the station’s secrets.
