Architects of Giants

This project is in early development, currently in the prototyping phase. Architects of Giants is a cooperative third-person survival base-building game in which players embark on an epic survival journey aboard a colossal walking Giant. In this adventure, Team up online and form your unique squad of squirrels engineers, tasked with constructing and guiding a massive wood and iron Giant across treacherous landscapes during a grand pilgrimage to save a dying world. As squirrel Architects, players will glide through the skies, scale towering limbs, and utilize their grappling hook to explore the environment. They will strategically build and maintain their colossal companion by collecting resources from beneath this moving giant, managing its engine, and making critical decisions: should they upgrade limbs for better mobility, enhance senses for greater environmental awareness, or create climbing aids for easier traversal? The world of AOG is going through an ecological catastrophe: plants are dying and animals are mutated by a mysterious corruption. The Architects are on a redemption journey to restore life to the world and cleanse the miasma after realising their careless industrial development impacted the entire ecosystem. From the secluded safety of their forest, they must journey out into the wider and wilder world, on a quest to bring the beating Heartfruit to dying Keytrees. The only vessel strong enough to carry this precious cargo, and keep it alive, is a Giant. The Architects must use their inventive engineering skills, and a unique array of organic and inorganic parts collected from their surroundings, to construct a Giant and place the Heartfruit in its chest before they can set off. To survive this epic journey, the Architects must continuously adapt their Giant to the challenging terrain, nourish the Giant and its Heart, and defend against the corrupted flora and fauna that would thwart them. Along the way, players will find blueprints hidden in the natural environment and gather the resources to upgrade their Giant.
