In a solar system ruled by highly intelligent civilizations, the homeworld Terra Prime is slowly approaching extinction as abnormal solar activity threatens all life. Biological environmental scientist Solaris embarks on an expedition alongside her assistant robot G-30 to search for a new habitable planet. During the journey, however, a distress signal from the far reaches of space changes her fate forever. The signal leads her to a colossal derelict spaceship drifting silently through the void. Forced to make an emergency landing, Solaris begins exploring its decaying corridors, where she encounters an inexplicable phenomenon.
