A Story About Forever: Transience

A Story About Forever is a space exploration action RPG game with heavy emphasis on story and player interaction. Your ship arrives in an unexplored galaxy full of diverse, space faring species, individuals with complex drives and motivations, and a deep network of history and lore to uncover. Hostile enemies may start dogfights; friends and allies may help defend. Upgrade your ship for more firepower, scientific capability, and maneuverability. Build your status among others to curry influence. Combat is only one path. Make your way through the story depending entirely on a silver tongue and careful attention paid to the hundreds of characters and their relationships with one another. Find your way to the end of one story path... and find yourself caught within a loop of time, carrying all the progress you had made, opening up new possibilities and stories you couldn't have reached before. Why are you here, and what will you do? Transience is a winding tale about what it means to know others, to know yourself, and to look into a mysterious future that seems endless. All gameplay is accompanied by a full, original soundtrack by composer Ben Ruby (of What Strange Animals). If you remember games like Star Control 2, NOMAD, or Escape Velocity and wished their genre had kept evolving, this is what might have come of that.
