Improved stability on older and low-end devices We've added in the launch options menu to Steam. Now, when you play the game, you can choose if you want to use the Forward+ renderer (default option) or the compatibility renderer. If you are running A Dark Forest on an older or low-end device, we very much recommend using the compatibility renderer! Especially if your version of A Dark Forest ever crashed on startup! About the Game The world is dark and empty. A Dark Forest is an incremental idle horror game about discovering the unknown within and without yourself. Everything the darkness touches is yours. Explore the world, gather resources and carve out a community of your own inside the dark forest. Remember… the Darkness never sleeps, and it doesn't like new challengers. Savior or tyrant? Ward off 11 abyssal entities. Will you spare or execute them? There will be consequences… do you dare experience all endings? My good steward! Control the faceless masses.
