About the game
About Nadir Trace
NADIR TRACE is a turn-based roguelike about exploring SITE NT-14, an abandoned research facility.
Stabilize each floor’s anchor and recover the records left behind. Watch your surroundings, enemy attack warnings, health, and food before choosing your next action.
Combat, one action at a time
Moving, attacking, waiting, and using items advance the turn. Stop and consider your next move without a time limit.
Warning tiles show where attacks will strike and how many actions remain before they activate. Find a safe position among lines, crosses, circular attacks, and travelling waves.
Explore beyond your field of view
Navigate floor layouts generated from a seed. Previously observed terrain remains faintly visible, while the radar indicates the direction of objectives and equipment.
Use walls and shelving as cover. Activate equipment and anchors to illuminate facilities, and decide whether to collect supplies first or head straight for your objective.
Tools for different situations
Maintain your health and food, block damage with shields, and prepare a charged cutter for dangerous encounters. Lenses and scanners help you gather information.
Reposition with a phase jump, or deploy a hologram to lure hostiles and intercept an incoming wave. Defeating enemies increases your rank and improves your stats.
Recover the records—or keep descending
Revisit recovered documents and consult the item and hostile codex as you make new discoveries.
Once your survey objective is complete, return with your findings or continue into BEYOND TRACE, where enemies and their attacks become more dangerous.
Compact by design
Terminal-style pixel graphics and synthesized music form a lightweight game with English and Korean text. Save your progress and resume an unfinished expedition.
