Sobre Duskblade: The Caged Sun
The sun has a name, and someone is keeping its heart in a cage.
A hundred years ago the King asked the Maskmaker for a face strong enough to hold the sun. Then he raised his mask to the sky, and caged the heart of Aurel, the sun itself. The world has lived in twilight ever since. Masks cracked, souls leaked out, and only the unmasked-born of the Twilight Blade Order resisted. They fell. You didn't. And Aurel, a single ember of the caged sun, is still talking to you.
Duskblade is a story-driven metroidvania told in stylized silhouettes: dark figures against glowing skies, with light as the only colour that matters. Every region is a chapter of the same crime, and every boss is a memory of it.Six weapons, one hero
Twin Blades for fast combos, the Cage Scythe for wide sweeps, Ember Whips that pull enemies in, Warden Fists that charge and shatter shields, a Twin-Edged Axe that splits the ground and a Sun Spear that rains light. Switch weapons mid-combo without breaking the chain, parry, execute staggered foes, and burn everything down in Ember Rage.
Evolve every weapon: Ember or Frost
Each weapon grows through tiers and evolves down one of two paths. Ember hits burn and explode in flame; Frost hits chill, freeze and shatter. Twin Blades become Ember Blades or Frost Blades, the Scythe becomes a Sun Scythe or a Moon Scythe, and every weapon gains its own soul arts.
Borrow the power of a caged god
Fight well, without taking hits, and Aurel's grace fills. Spend it on one of six god powers: a Sunburst, slowed time, a shield of light, a rain of ember meteors, an army of shadows, or the Hand of Aurel itself.
Summon the echoes of the fallen
Each guardian you lay to rest leaves an echo. Seher's chain drags enemies to you, or you to iron rings; Toprak's shield-arm splits the ground and breaks walls. Each echo strikes differently with every weapon.Thirteen connected regions, one map
The Forgotten Shore and a sunken archive. A maskmakers' spire where every face in the kingdom was shaped. A silent hollow where the bells never rang again. A severed sky, an ashen garden, a dawn frozen on a mountain, a lake whose moon is only a mirror, a sleeping titan, and the Sun Forge at the top of the world. Over 160 rooms, crossed with wings, a dash, the Cage Claw, an ash step through thorns and the Dawn Rush.Every boss is a tragedy
29 bosses and mini-bosses, each with an entrance and a death that shows what they were before the mask.
And nineteen more wait off the main path.
The Throne of Dawn
The Masked King waits on his throne with his royal eagle, and he does not fall in only one shape.
Choose what the morning is worth
Three endings. Free the sun and let it burn. Take the King's mask and become the cage yourself. Or find the four lost members of the Order, lift the veil, and see the sun for what it really is. Then fly with Aurel to the horizon and see what became of every place you passed through.Features
