You wake at the bottom of an old well with only a worn rope leading up. Reach hand over hand, swing to keep your balance and climb inch by inch. Wet rope, slick moss, frayed strands and thorns stand in your way, and one slip can drop you all the way down. Ready to see the sun again?

You open your eyes at the bottom of a deep, dark well.
Far above, a tiny circle of light, and between you and it, a single worn rope.
Well Up is a first-person climbing game where all you have are two hands and one rope.
Your left and right hands move on their own. Reach up with one, let go with the other, and reach again.
Swing your body to keep your balance, twist the rope to turn, and make your way up inch by inch.
And if your grip slips, the knots along the rope might just be your last chance.
The higher you go, though, the trickier the rope gets.
• Wet rope: hold on too long and your hands swell and lose their strength.
• Moss: your hands slide right down it. Don't let go, just hang on tight.
• Frayed strands: linger too long and the rope may snap.
• Thorns: let's just say they're not great to grab barehanded.
• Jutting rocks and roots, and a stretch of pitch-black darkness, are waiting for you too.
Luckily, you're not alone. Someone keeps talking to you over the radio.
Sometimes they offer helpful advice, but teasing you every time you fall seems to be their real talent.
A little funny, a little annoying, and with you all the way to the top.
One small mistake can send you a long way down, and with bad luck, all the way to the bottom.
When that happens, just climb again. A little higher this time, a little faster.
Your best height and fastest time are saved, so you can try to beat yesterday's you.
• Physics-based rope climbing with separate left and right hand controls
• A realistic, atmospheric world deep inside the well
• Radio narration that talks to you every time you fall (English voice, subtitles in 9 languages)
• Records for best height, clear time and number of falls
• Auto-save, so you can pick up your climb anytime
• A reduced rope sway option for players prone to motion sickness
• Keyboard & mouse and gamepad support
