Under The Iris

Play as Taya, a long time- and [sexually] frustrated employee aboard the Vigil IV as things go south within the Iris star-system and she ends up stranded on the planet of Para. A low-tech planet notorious for its debaucherous tribes and carnal cultures. Accompany her in her travels as she tries to enjoy herself despite her predicament while ignoring the darker truths as they unravel. ---Exploration--- Explore the planet of Para, portrayed in hand-drawn pixel art, from different perspectives! From a top down look as you run around its surface to a first person view as you delve into its depths in these subterranean Dungeon-Crawler segments. Encounter a wide variety of characters and factions throughout your travels, some easier to converse with than others, from highly kitted out space explorers to.... a creature in a jar? ---Combat--- Every encounter can be resolved your way. Shoot enemies down in turn-based combat ...or subdue them through seduction and temptation. Or escape and run away with your tail between your legs. All are valid. All have impact. ---Dialogue--- Under The Iris also features a branching dialogue system, that'll impact the world around you and how characters behave. Some words can't be taken back, some actions can't be undone. ---Soundtrack--- The game is accompanied by the highly atmospheric original soundtrack made by Archie Whitepaw, full of electronic and synthwave goodness.
