You return to your former high school to digitize its cultural festival archives before the school closes for good. Among the materials is a photograph of Class 2-3—and a handwritten message you cannot remember leaving:
“This time, don’t leave out the answer.”
The 31st Student is a first-person psychological horror game about exclusion, unreliable memory, and the cost of bearing witness. Explore a deserted Japanese high school, trace a missing student through records that contradict one another, and confront the parts of the past that someone tried to leave behind.

Explore the school in a semi-open investigation. Follow leads in different orders, revisit familiar places, and uncover optional evidence and encounters beyond the main path. Examine documents, photographs, and audio recordings, and solve puzzles rooted in the school’s history.
As dusk gives way to night, the school changes with it. Familiar spaces become harder to trust. A chair moves when you look away. Footsteps continue after yours stop. Somewhere beyond your flashlight, the school seems to be waiting for a response.
