You are dropped into a hostile forest where survival depends on what you eat, where you go, and how much risk you are willing to take. Hunger constantly pushes you forward, but every mushroom you find is a gamble. Some will keep you alive, while others will poison you, mutate, or attract something far worse and spell your doom.
Your goal seems simple enough: survive long enough to find an escape.
The forest isn’t just dangerous, it is controlled. It has its rules and if you want to make it out alive it’s in your best interest to learn them.
Hunger is your constant enemy. You must forage to stay alive, but food is never safe. Learning which mushrooms will keep you going and which ones will end your life is part of the core survival loop. Mistakes are punished quickly, and knowledge is earned through risk.
You’ll constantly decide:
- Do you eat now or save it for later?
- Do you explore deeper or retreat to safety?
- Do you fight, hide, or run?
There is no correct answer. Only consequences.
As you explore deeper, the wilderness will begin to reveal its true nature. Mutated mushrooms roam the land and unknown creatures stalk you from the darkness. The environment itself watches you and adapts to your actions, influenced by a corporation that treats the area as an experiment, rather than a living place.
By surviving and pushing forward, you will begin to uncover fragments of the truth:
- Why this forest exists
- Why it mutates to hunt you down
- Why leaving is not encouraged
Discovery is optional, but ignorance has a cost.
The forest is dense, oppressive, and unpredictable. Visibility is limited, sounds matter and movement attracts attention. You are never alone.
Creatures are not scripted encounters. They appear when you least expect them and force you to react rather than plan. Sometimes avoidance is smarter than confrontation. Sometimes there is no choice at all.
This is not a power fantasy.
You are vulnerable, uncertain and have to make the best decisions with incomplete information.
The forest does not care if you are prepared.
The corporation does not concern itself with your survival.
You alone have to fight against the odds and make it out alive.
