Lead your crew on a daring voyage in search of a new life, making a perilous exodus across Imperial-controlled territories. Follow the Elios leylines aboard your fragile ship, embarking on a journey where risk and reward constantly intertwine. Power your ship’s engine by gathering Elios through narrative-driven quests or the bodies of fallen enemies. And when the sands leave you no other option, take from your own crew. Steady your resolve, take the helm, and never look back. Friend, Fuel or Foe Decide whether to heal your wounded in the infirmary after battle takes its toll, or extract the Elios from their bodies, leaving them mere husks, to fuel your ambitions or power the caravan’s engine. Rescue and recruit lost souls to bolster your numbers, but remember, your caravan has limited seats. Whether you find survivors wandering the desert or free them from the Imperial clutches, these narrative events will shape their future, as well as yours. Every survivor arrives with a randomly rolled class and traits, drawn from 15 classes and 16 traits that reshape skills, stats, and abilities. The barbarian you rescue from the sands might also be a doctor when you save them. As your characters grow, equip three modules from a pool of 50+ to multiply the combinations again, so no run or crew plays the same way twice. Caught between the Imperials and the Arcanists, your party must face 38 enemy classes in a desperate fight for a better tomorrow. Understanding your foes’ abilities and planning accordingly is key, your knowledge of this war-torn world is your greatest weapon. Strategic Turn-Based Combat Dive into high-stakes tactical battles where every decision can tip the scales between survival and defeat. This isn’t your typical cover-and-shoot affair; it’s a relentless test of strategy. When the battlefield isn’t working in your favor, take control and reshape it! Obliterate cover, reposition it strategically, or create your own defenses with the power of Elios. Erect ice pillars to hinder enemy movement, or explosive pillars to trap and damage them. Lay mines and set traps to ambush foes, or shove them into your carefully placed pitfalls with a forceful push. Use caravan skills to assist your party fighting in close quarters to either buff them, destroy cover, or hopefully the enemy before they do some permanent damage to your crew. Hold firm in special events such as the last stand, or assassinate elite enemies in a multitude of missions along your way. Each Run a Stepping Stone Sometimes failure is not an option; this time, it’s the cost of living free. The perilous sands stretch vast across an ever-changing landscape that has claimed more experienced adventurers, sometimes even willingly... Your previous mishaps, crushing defeats or triumphs, will contribute to your next run, either in the form of modules or potentially even survivors, as you find the previous caravan’s wreck. Dynamic world generation ensures that whether in combat or roaming through the sands - battlefields, locations, or quests will challenge you in new and unexpected ways, making each run unique.
