DT.O: Hanes is an atmospheric, hand drawn visual novel created entirely by a solo developer. It is a story of humble beginnings, hidden identities, and the mysteries buried within the natural world. Phabius is a fifteen year old boy living a quiet life as a woodcutter. His goal is simple: work hard, save his earnings, and one day forge a real sword for himself. However, his routine is changed when a pair of mysterious strangers arrive with a specialized contract. They hire Phabius to venture into the deep, ancient forest of Ethrna to map its uncharted territories. But there is an ulterior motive to their request: they are searching for a familiar figure, and they believe Phabius is the key to finding them. Join Phabius on his journey and learn more about Arden and its people. This is a single player game, but playing it with your friends and family can be enjoyable too~ Your choices will change the story, a little more or a little less- but they are significant for Phabius! Please note that the game deals with difficult situations, so it is not recommended for people under that age of 16. Hello! My name is E, and I am the solo dev behind this game. I have been developing this world for over a year, since I was sixteen. I wrote, drew, edited, coded and made some of the music myself. I used a few free tracks that will be credited in-game, and bought some original music. The characters and the story grew more and more and I hope you will enjoy and appreciate my efforts. Because this is still ongoing, the game isn't fully finished, so please expect further updates in the future! For now, the first episode features about 40-50 minutes of gameplay. Please enjoy!
