Castle Selbst

Castle Selbst is a game where you solve puzzles to traverse a castle. At the top of each section of the game you will face a tough boss that will challenge you uniquely. CARD COMBAT Cards are one of two ways to fight enemies, allowing you to play with vast bursts of damage and unique effects. Spells are potent and can give you enhanced strength, defense and more. Spells don't come for free though, as in order to play a spell card, you must use Mana, which will only regenerate when standing still. In addition to the effects of your cards, each one has a number. These numbers don't impact their power, but they do impact when you can play them. Enemies also play cards in order to attack, and while they do so, you cannot attack. Unless, that is, you have a card of a higher value. Playing a card with a higher value will instantly interrupt the enemies attacks, stopping them in their tracks. Be aware though, the enemies can do this to you as well. WEAPONS Your cards aren't your only tool. Throughout the castle you have a trusty crowbar. You start every battle with this crowbar, but it doesn't have to be your only weapon. Hitting enemies will allow you to turn this crowbar into 4 unique weapons, be it a scythe, wand, whip or sword. Hitting enemies with these new weapons can let you find more powerful weapons. Whether it's poison, range, or more powerful spell cards, you can find it in combat just by whacking a flower over the head. ENEMIES and BOSSES Enemies will appear on floors throughout the castle. They will grow stronger with where you go and by how many bosses you beat. Beating these bosses is not trivial though. Each one lies towards the highest parts of the castle and reaching them will unleash a torrent of difficult attacks. Each boss is unique in attack pattern and will present different challenges throughout the game. EXPLORATION In order to traverse the castle, you will need to solve puzzles. Most puzzles involve lever puzzles and traversing through the floors.
