Classic JRPG Combat, With More Control Passion uses an ATB-inspired battle system built around giving you time to think without taking away the pressure of combat. When a character is ready to act, the battle pauses. You can issue their command immediately, or hold their action and allow the rest of the party's gauges to fill, giving you control over when and how your team acts.
