Open or Die

In front of you are boxes. Some contain diamonds, while others contain death. How many times are you willing to take a risk to win in this deadly gambling show? Manipulate the odds and use items to ultimately emerge victorious. What will prove stronger, your greed or your instinct for self-preservation? You have entered a deadly show from which you can only escape as a winner. You are offered boxes and told to choose and open any number of them. You do not know what is inside each box, except for the odds of winning. If you're lucky, you will find diamonds in the boxes, which you can then spend on meta-upgrades that will allow you to change the odds and tilt the balance of the game in your favor. You can also acquire useful items, each of which will help influence the game in different ways, giving you a chance to outsmart the organizers of this insane show. The game is a simplified roguelike where, upon losing all your lives, you start over after death with new items and upgrade possibilities.
